So why sunfleck?

Sunflecks are dapples of the bright sun spots that reach the forest floor, seemingly dancing around as the sun rises and sets. As the sun moves, these ‘spot-lights’ change position, and move around, illuminating areas that were previously not.

Similarly, subjects in this blog will dance around, from intertidal to deep sea life, surf from marine to terrestrial, and occasionally, even touch on plant life. The natural world is not something we Singaporeans have the luxury of seeing at our doorstep – and this is where nature guides, areas, parks and reserves come in.

Before we lose the last bit of nature we have around us, let us do our part for conservation. We all hold a jigsaw puzzle piece of what is needed to build a complete picture for a better Earth.

Let us be inspired. And let us go further than that. It’s going to take action, action, action to get there.
